1.  Giovani Dos Santos scores a goal and has an assist in his MLS debut for the Galaxy.

2.  The Dodgers lost three straight to Pittsburgh but remain three games up in the NL West as San Francisco has dropped four straight.

3.  The APU Cougars will be back to begin practice for the 2015 season this Thursday afternoon.

4.  The Houston Astros have lost seven of their last 10 games and the Angels have pulled to within 0.5 games in the AL West.

5.  Former New York Giant and NFL broadcaster Frank Gifford passed away Sunday morning at the age of 84.

6.  The Arena Football League office has announced that with no ownership in place, the New Orleans Voo Doo and the Las Vegas Outlaws have ceased operations.

7.  With Sunday’s win, the L.A. Galaxy move to within two points of first place Vancouver in the MLS Western Conference standings.

8.  On this day in 1981 Pete Rose breaks Stan Musial’s NL hit record with his 3,631st career hit.
