(Diamond Bar) – Claremont visited Diamond Bar fresh off its first loss of the season last week. What a difference a week can make… The Wolfpack scored on their first four possessions of the first half in route into a 42-13 win over the Brahmas Friday night at Diamond Bar.
The Brahmas scored on their opening drive of the game to take an early 7-0 lead. But after four first half scores, the Brahmas were in a big hole, down at the half 28-7.The Brahmas Dimaggio Rico took the second half kickoff 100 yards for a score to cut the lead to 28-13 after a missed extra point. The Wolfpack answered right back with a 22 yard touchdown run by Duy Tran-Sampson to put the game out of reach.
- Claremont’s QB Raine PohakuKaheaku-Paiva was 4/6 for 72 yds. 2 Passing TD’s, and carried the ball for 81 yds. on 8 carries with 1 rushing TD.
- Claremont’s Duy Tran-Sampson rushed for 123 yds. on 22 carries, with 1 TD.
- Markelle Davis had 9 carries for 70 yds. and 2 TD’s for the Wolfpack.
- Diamond Bar’s Dimaggio Rico had 17 carries for 87 yds 1 TD and a kick-off return for a TD.
- Claremont hosts Glendora next week.
- Diamond Bar is at Bonita next week.
