  1. Former Angels pitcher Tommy Hanson passes away at the age of 29. He last pitched in 2013.
  2. San Diego Chargers lose their fifth straight game on Monday Night Football to the Bears. The largest losing margin in the five-game slide is eight points.
  3. Los Angeles Clippers improve to 5-2 after 94-92 win over Memphis.
  4. Wes Welker signs with St. Louis Rams.
  5. First place LA Kings face Arizona at Staples Center tonight at 7:30pm
  6. US Mens Soccer team begins 2018 World Cup Qualifying on Friday night against St. Vincent and Grenadines.
  7. USSR Track and Field may be suspended for 2016 Olympics amid doping scandal.
  8. Chino vs Chaffey Friday night in First Round of Central Division Playoffs, combined they have amassed 6,907 yards for the season on the ground.
  9. On this day in 1984, Wild Again won the first running of the Breeder’s Cup Classic beating Slew O’Gold and Gate Dancer in a dramatic stretch drive.  Slew O’Gold was the favorite in the race while Wild Again was 31-1. The First Breeder’s Cup was held at Hollywood Park.
