(Bell Gardens) – Geoff Ackerman is out as the head coach at Bell Gardens after three years.
The Lancers finished 6-4 overall this year and missed the playoffs. Ackerman was 17-15 overall and 0-2 in the post season since taking over for David Ramos following the 2012 campaign. The Lancers lost to Sierra Canyon in the first round of the playoffs in 2013 and fell to San Marino last year.
Bell Gardens took third in league this year in the Almont League falling to Montebello and Schurr but didn’t receive a CIF post season bid.
The Lancers have begun the search for a new head coach. According to the CIF website it will be a walk on position.
