Garcia Resigns at Don Lugo

Tim Peterson

(Chino) – Luis Garcia has stepped down as the head coach at Don Lugo after two years.

Garcia cited family reasons stating in part that he wishes the Don Lugo football program  all the success in the world and hopes the boys can continue to build upon all the lessons they learned together.

Garcia went 12-11 overall in two years and made the playoffs in both 2014 and ’15. Last year the Conquistadores advanced to the second round of the Central Division playoffs before falling to San Marino.

@SG Jones was a great choice for AD. Hopefully give that program another shot in the arm like he has done in the past. Tap into the Rebels program whoever the coach is, and scrap the Wing-T.

Major loss for the Don Lugo Football Program just when things we’re turning around and SMACK!!! Gets blindsided with such horrible news I hope this promising program can bounce back from this and prayers go out to Coach Garcia & Family.
