- NCAA tournament gets underway with #16 seeds Florida Gulf Coast and Fairleigh Dickinson playing at 3:40pm and #11 seeds Vanderbilt and Wichita St face-off at 6:10pm.

- UCONN, Baylor, South Carolina and Notre Dame are #1 seeds in the NCAA Women’s tournament.
- With 14 games remaining in the NHL season, the Kings lead the Ducks by two points and still have one more game scheduled against Anaheim.
- St. Paul’s girls basketball team has not lost since February 9. It was to eventual CIF Division 4-A champion St. Anthony.
