1. The NFL will stream its 10 Thursday night games on Twitter this year.

2. Former NBA player and coach Terry Porter has been hired as the new head coach at the University of Portland.

3. Grayson Allen, who averaged over 21 points per game for Duke this past season, has announced that he will return to the school for his junior year.

4. Colorado Rockies rookie Trevor Story has hit four home runs in his first three games – the most by a rookie player since 1900.

6. Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners has also hit four home runs in his first three games.

7. The LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks are tied at the top of the NHL West with 99 points each. The two teams will face off against each other tonight at Staples Center.

8. The Angels place left-hander Andrew Heaney on the 15 day disabled list with a flexor muscle strain. Starting pitchers Jared Weaver and C.J. Wilson are also out with injuries.

9. On this day in 2003, Syracuse, led by Freshman Carmelo Anthony, beats Kansas 81-78 to win the NCAA championship.

10. Happy Birthday to former Dodger/current Texas Ranger third baseman Adrian Beltre, who turns 37 today.
