It’s been a memorable week in sports – especially here in Southern California. And no I’m not talking about the Dodgers signing of Aaron Harang. There was the CIF Finals in the Mid-Valley and Southeast Divisions, big news out of Anaheim, and Los Angeles and there is a new chief in Westwood.  

Thomas Hits Buzzer-Beater; Huskies Repeat as PAC-10 Champs

By Tony Solorzano   (Los Angeles) – A spectacular buzzer-beater in overtime by Washington’s Isaiah Thomas propelled the Huskies to a 77-75 victory over Arizona Saturday afternoon to claim their second consecutive PAC-10 title at the Pacific Life Pac-10 Basketball Tournament at Staples Center.
