1. The Dodger’s Kenta Maedo goes seven innings and strikes out seven to improve to 2-0 and help the Dodgers take two of three from the Giants and half game lead in the NL West.

2. The Los Angeles Rams to begin spring practice today in Oxnard, CA.

3. Giovani Dos Santos scored twice to lead the Galaxy past Houston 4-1 Friday night.

4. The Anaheim Ducks lost to Nashville 3-2 Sunday and are down 2-0 in the best of seven series.

5. Detriot Tiger slugger Miguel Cabrera turns 33 today.

6. The Kings fell to San Jose 2-1 Saturday night and trail the Sharks 2-0 in their opening series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

7. San Antonio Spur Kawhi Leonard wins the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

8. On this day in 1977 former Baltimore Oriole and Dodger Eddie Murray hit his first home run and in 1987 the Phillies Mike Schmidt hit his 500th.

9. DJ Stephens caught 12 passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns and the LA Kiss improve to 2-1 on the season beating the Cleveland Gladiators on the road 47-42.
