(Arcadia) – Arcadia had the tying run cut down at the plate for the final out of the game and fell to Burroughs 3-2 Friday in Pacific League action.

The Apaches scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to get within a run but Steven Wong tried to score from second after a ball hit by Ryan Tuck to second base was booted. Noah Falcon scored on the error but Randy Catlett retrieved the ball and fired to catcher Tanner Whitlock who tagged the sliding Wong for the third out.

Wong appeared to be under the tag and he and Apache manager Nick Lemas argued the call to no avail.

Kyle Nicols went the distance for Burroughs to pick up the victory. Falcon also threw a complete game for Arcadia.

Omar Tejeda and Jason Waley both had run scoring singles for Burroughs. With the victory, Burroughs improved to 7-1 in the Pacific. Arcadia is 6-2.
