By Tim Peterson (Arcadia) – Crescenta Valley racked up over 400 yards of total offense and went on to beat Arcadia 49-28 Friday night to secure the Pacific League championship.
By Alex Gonzalez (Burbank) – Cole Doyle passed for 200 yards and threw a touchdown pass and Brandon Beardt scored two rushing touchdowns including the go-ahead score as Crescenta Valley beat Burbank 35-21 Friday night at Memorial Stadium.
By Tim Peterson (Arcadia) – Arcadia had the tying run cut down at the plate for the final out of the game and fell to Burroughs 3-2 Friday in Pacific League action.
By Tim Peterson (Glendale) – Freshman Cole Doyle fired a 52-yard touchdown pass to Will Rees with 2:40 left in the game to give Crescenta Valley a 28-27 win over Arcadia Thursday night at Moyse Field.
By Tim Peterson Didn’t you just know Muir would pick it up in the Pacific? When the Mustangs were 0-3 there was the talk that they had lost it, that they weren’t the same team, that they were now a bottom tier team in league. So much for that huh?
By Tim Peterson Cresecenta Valley has always had talented and athletic players. The Falcons run a high powered offense and to do that you need a good quarterback and quick receivers with good hands. For the most part they have had that. But this year there is a difference.
