1. Monrovia will host a 4-way throw Thursday at 4:30 p.m. with Cantwell, Eagle Rock and Lincoln.

2. Former Burroughs HC Keith Knoop has been elected into the John Burroughs Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place in October at Burroughs High School.

3. Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton will undergo surgery on his knee and is out for the year. Hamilton has played in 50 of the Rangers 306 games since being acquired from the Angels in April 2015.

4. The family of Tony Gwynn is filing a lawsuit seeking to hold the tobacco industry accountable for the Hall of Famer’s death.

5. Clayton Kershaw has more shutouts (3) then walks (2) this month.

6. Russell Westbrook scores 36 points to lead Oklahoma City to a 118-94 win over Golden State and take a 3-1 series lead in the Western Conference Finals.
