Mid Valley High School Boys Basketball Top 20

Montebello, South Hills and Bonita are standing pat at the top. La Canada fell to Blair and dropped down to 13. Pasadena is running away in the Pacific and made its move to number four. Keppel rounds out the top five after taking the Oilers to the wire. In the Valle Vista, BP, Northview and San Dimas are taking turns beating each other up. La Puente moved into the top 20 by winning four of its first five in the Montview. Whittier looks like the best team in the Del Rio.        

1. Montebello (21-1) – The Beat goes on for Oilers.

2. South Hills (15-3) – Huskies beginning to pull away.

3. Bonita (18-3) – Cats perfect in Miramonte.

4. Pasadena (14-5) – Bulldogs survived scare at Burroughs; 7-0 in Pacific.

5. Keppel (16-4) – Aztecs gave Montebello all it could handle.

6. Charter Oak (13-6) – Chargers get Bonita on Friday.

7. Nogales (14-7) – Only league loss to South Hills.

8. Baldwin Park (18-2) – Bounced back with big win over Northview.

9. San Dimas (12-8) – Saints need wins over BP, Northview.

10. Northview (13-8) – Vikings fall a deuce short at Baldwin Park.

11. Burbank (15-5) – The Bank gets huge win over CV.

12. Crescenta Valley (14-5) – Falcons looking forward to another crack at Pasadena.

13. La Canada (16-4) – Spartans surprised by Blair; Rebounded against Temple City.

14. Walnut (11-9) – Mustangs need to pick it up down the stretch.

15. Temple City (8-7) – Rams still chasing LC in Rio.

16. Arcadia (11-9) – Apaches still in position for post season.

17. Whittier (11-9) – Cards are still the team to beat in Del Rio.

18. California (9-9) – Carter, Ortiz and Smith all averaging in double figures.

19. La Puente (9-7) – Jacob Sandoval and the Warriors are on top in Montview.

20. South El Monte (10-7) – Eagles continue undefeated MVL run.
