1.The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in game seven of the NBA Finals and bring home the first professional sports title to the City of Cleveland in 52 years.

2. Dustin Johnson shot a final round 69 to win the U.S. Open Championship at Oakmont Country Club.

3. Roberto Duran takes the WBC welterweight title from Sugar Ray Leonard at Olympic Stadium in Montreal by unanimous decision on this day in 1980.

4. LeBron James won his third NBA Finals MVP Award averaging 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists over the seven game series.

5. After winning three straight the Dodgers remain 6.5 games back of the Giants who have won eight straight.

6. Former San Diego Charger and current Philadelphia Eagle Darren Sproles turns 33 today.

7. The U.S. Men’s National Team will take on Argentina Tuesday night at Houston’s NRG Stadium in one semi-final of Copa America Centenario. The other semi-final will be Columbia v. Chile at Soldier Field in Chicago.

8. On this day in 1936 Jesse Owens set a 100 meter record mark at 10.2 seconds.

9. The Angels have put together a modest two game winning streak but remain 13.5 games behind the Rangers.
