7.) On this day in 1936 Joe Di Maggio becomes the 5th player to hit two home runs in one inning and in 1994 Jeff Bagwell becomes the 28th.

8.) Stanley Wilson II, 33, was shot breaking into a house on Thursday by its homeowner. Wilson, a cornerback, played three seasons for the Detroit Lions. He was released in 2008. Wilson is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals running back Stanley Wilson Sr. who was suspended the night before Super Bowl XXIII after being caught with cocaine.

9.) Tim Lincecum struggles in second start for the Los Angeles Angels.
