5. Notre Dame cornerback Devin Butler is charged with two felonies involving resisting law enforcement and battery against a public safety official. Butler’s arrest came just hours after five teammates were arrested in Fulton County, about 40 miles south of South Bend, Indiana in a traffic stop.
6. The LA Galaxy battled to a 2-2 tie with the Chicago Fire Wednesday night. For the Galaxy it was their 12th draw of the season.
7. The San Diego Chargers still haven’t agreed to terms with first round draft choice Joey Bosa and announced that they have pulled their “best offer” off the table after the defensive end failed to sign.
8. U.S. soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo is banned for six months from the national team for her “cowards” remarks following the loss to Sweden.
