(San Marino) – Tyler Nevens rushed for 288 yards and four touchdowns to lead Los Altos to a 38-6 rout of San Marino Friday night on the Titans home field.

Nevens seemed to score at will for the Conquerors breaking off touchdown runs of 79 yards in the first half and 44, 57 and 65 in the second half.

Los Altos scored on its first two possessions. Kody Olmos threw a 24-yard TD strike for a 7-0 advantage. On the next series the Conquerors used just one play as Nevens broke off the 79 yard touchdown run for a 14-0 lead. Hunter White booted a 32-yard field goal as time ran out in the first half to make it 17-0.

The Los Altos D kept the pressure on San Marino

San Marino, who won the Central Division CIF title a year ago, struggled for most of the night offensively keeping the ball on the ground. The Titans, who lost a majority of their key players from last years juggernaut, looked like a completely different team.

Nevens put it away in the second half with the three long touchdown runs. San Marino finally got on the board in the third quarter but that was all it could muster.

** Nevens final stats: 10-288-4 TD.

** Beau Hobbie, scored the only touchdown for San Marino on a two-yard run with 4:33 left in the third quarter.

** On Nevens 65 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, he was trapped in the backfield before busting several tackles and breaking free and was off to the races. Nevens also had a 33-yard touchdown run called back in the second quarter by a holding call.
