2. In two games, Sierra Canyon’s Niko Harris has passed for 403 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 68 yards and another score.

3. Tyler Nevens 288-yards and four touchdowns against San Marino last Friday night.

4. It has been rumored that the Dodgers have placed Yasiel Puig on waivers with the intent on trading him.

5. Nolan Ryan surpassed the 200 strikeout barrier for a record 11th time on this day in 1987.

7. Former Norwalk Lancer Elijhaa Penny had eight carries for 31 yards for the Arizona Cardinals in Sundays preseason loss to Houston.

8. On this day in 1965 Willie Mays hit his NL record 17th home run in one month. The record would later be broken by Sammy Sosa’s 20 in June of 1998.
