4. Iowa football HC Kirk Ferentz signs a six-year contract extension through 2025. Ferentz is in his 18th season as the Hawkeyes head coach.
5. Arizona received a verbal agreement from DeAndre Ayton, one of the top basketball prospects of the 2017 class. Ayton plays at Hillcrest Academy in Phoenix.
