1. San Diego Chargers receiver Keenan Allen is out for the season with a torn ACL in his right knee.

2. Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III will miss at least eight games with a broken bone in his left shoulder.

3. The Yankees hit back to back home runs in the seventh inning and go on to beat the Dodgers 3-0 Tuesday night.

4. USC linebacker Osa Masina has been removed from the school completely due to on going investigations in two states regarding separate allegations of sexual assault of the same woman. Teammate Don Hill, involved in the same investigation has been suspended from the football team.

5. Dodger announcer Vin Scully says he won’t call post season games. His final game will be October 2 in San Francisco.

6. New Orleans Saints running back C.J. Spiller, who signed a four-year, $16 million free agent deal last year, was released Monday.

7. Muir at La Salle, Friday night 7:00 p.m.

8. Cathedral receiver Jamire Calvin 2016 stats: 18-416 yards,  5 TD – 3 games.

9. On this day in 1968 Detroit Tigers pitcher Denny McLain wins his 30th game of the season.

10. Happy Birthday to former New York Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams who turns 48 today.
