(Alhambra) – Alhambra took a 21-7 lead at the half and went on to a 28-13 victory over LA Wilson Thursday night at Moor Field.
The Moors racked up 359 total yards in offense. Salmon Gurung rushed for 91 yards on 19 carries and a pair of touchdowns. His scores came on runs of 33 and three yards. Quarterback Dominic Wilson competed 10 of 21 for 179 yards but also threw an interception.
For LA Wilson Isaac Abdullah finished 11 of 30 for 111 yards through the air and a touchdown. Abdullah’s four-yard keeper cut the Alhambra lead to 21-13 late in the third quarter.
Wilson receiver Raul Cortez caught four passes for 62 yards.
The Moors iced it on a nine-yard touchdown run by Isaiah Guzman with 5:36 left in the contest.
The Moors improved to .500 at 2-2 with the win while LA Wilson (3-1) suffered its first loss.
