1.Legendary golfer and first player to earn $1 million in career earning Arnold “The King” Palmer passed away Sunday at the age of 87.

2. The Dodgers clinched the NL West with a 4-3 win over the Rockies in walk-off fashion when Charlie Culberson went yard with two out in the 10th inning.

3. Miami  Marlins pitching ace Jose Fernandez died Sunday morning in a boating accident near the entrance of Miami Harbor.

4. USC and UCLA both blow second half leads and lose to Utah and Stanford.

5. LSU head coach Les Miles was fired four games in to his 12th season after the Tigers 18-13 loss at Auburn. Ed Orgeron will take over as interim head coach.

6. Manti Te’o tears his Achilles and is out for the season.

7. Whittier Christian’s Justin Osborne’s 315 yards of total offense in the Heralds 55-20 win over Duarte.

8. The Minnesota Vikings sack Cam Newton eight times and beat the Carolina Panthers 22-10 Sunday.
