Mid Valley High School Boys Basketball Top 20

Marcos Mejia and Montebello are flying high into playoffs

Playoff pairings are set. Apparently the regular season wasn’t as important as we thought. It’s like the old National Hockey League. Everybody makes the playoffs. Everybody in the Rio Hondo league got in including San Marino which finished 0-9 in league and 4-19 overall. In the Mission Valley the only team left out was El Monte. The Lions were 0-10 in league. Arroyo slipped in with a 4-6 MVL record (fifth place) and 9-13 on the year. G-Stone finished fourth in the Montview and was under .500 at 11-12 but was still awarded a spot in the post season. Montebello, and South Hills completed undefeated runs in Almont and San Antonio respectively and Bonita held off Charter Oak to win the Miramonte. Pasadena is poised to make a playoff run.
