1. The Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in 10 innings in Game 7 to win their first World Series since 1908.

2. The Denver Broncos sign former Azusa Pacific running back Terrell Watson to their practice squad. Watson was released by the Cleveland Browns October 26.

3. The LA Kings have been shutout in three consecutive games.

4. “He probably needs to slide a little bit faster.” – LA Rams defensive end William Hayes on Carolina quarterback Cam Newton who complained this week about alleged illegal hits.

5. UCLA freshman Lonzo Ball had 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the Bruins 100-58 exhibition win over Master’s University Tuesday night.

6. Ray Allen, who won NBA championships with the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, announced his retirement after 18 seasons in the league. Allen leads the NBA in  career three point shots.

7. Minnesota Vikings OC Norv Turner resigns Wednesday citing different views as to where the offense is going.

8. Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell is fined $18,231 for his low hit on Cam Newton last Sunday.

9. Downey (4-0) at Paramount (4-0) – Friday night, 7:00 p.m. for the San Gabriel Valley League title.
