(Covina District Field) – Antwaun Ayers and Kevin Thomas each scored twice as Northview rolled to a 42-14 win over Baldwin Park Thursday night at Covina District Field.
Thomas scored on a 19-yard touchdown run and Ayers found the end zone on a run and a reception in the first half to help Northview to a 21-7 halftime advantage.
The Vikings began to pull away in the third quarter as Steven Comstock scored on a three yard run to make it 28-7.
The Braves tried to battle back as Luis Flores scored on a two-yard plunge but the Vikings answered on the next possession as Thomas broke loose for his second of the night on a 40-yard touchdown with less than six minutes left to put the game away.
Caleb Cardenas added a little gravy with a 14-yard TD sprint with 20 seconds left for the final score of the night.
Northview wrapped up the Valle Vista League with the victory and finished 9-1 overall (5-0 in league) while Baldwin Park ended up at 5-5 and 2-3.
