1. The Jacksonville Suns of the Southern League announced that they have changed their name to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
2. UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen had shoulder surgery on Monday.
3. Arrogate won the $6 million Breeder’s Cup Classic on Saturday in front of 72,811 race fans. It was the largest Breeder’s Cup crowd of all time.
4. Darius Rucker is now a partner in a sports agency called MGC.
5. Seattle defeats Buffalo on MNF.
6. Los Angeles Clippers are currently 6-1 and lead the Pacific Division.
7. Beholder nosed-out undefeated Songbird in the $2 million Breeder’s Cup Distaff on Friday. Beholder is the only filly to win the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies and Distaff. In total she has won three Breeder’s Cup races.
8. On this day in 1951, Yogi Berra won his first of two AL MVP awards.
