1. Despite reports to the contrary, Texas Head Coach Charlie Strong says he has not been told that he’s been fired at a Monday press conference.

2. Alfredo Silva has stepped down as the HC at Walnut.

3. Jurgen Klinsmann has been fired as the Manager of the U.S  National soccer team. Current LA Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena is reportedly the leading candidate to replace him.

4. La Mirada kicker Brandon Petruescu.

5. The LA Rams blow a 10 point fourth quarter lead and fall to the  Miami Dolphins 14-10 Sunday at the Coliseum. Jared Goff completed 17 of 31 for 134 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in his NFL debut.

6. USC, after a 36-14 win over UCLA Saturday at the Rose Bowl, will play for the PAC 12 championship if Utah beats Colorado Saturday.

7. Sierra Canyon at Charter Oak, Division 4 Semi Finals, Friday 7:30 p.m.

8. Long time Arroyo assistant coach Oscar Lopez has been named the head coach of the Knights basketball team.

9. The Maranatha “Rose City Roundball Classic” runs November 28-December 3.

10. “I don’t know, apparently I can’t coach my “butt” off because we’re always getting bounced year in and year out but it feels pretty good.” – Arroyo HC Jim Singiser Friday night on advancing to the Division 12 Semi Finals after the 42-28 win over Schurr.
