1. Grayson Allen returned to the lineup for Duke in the Blue Devils 110-57 win over Georgia Tech after serving only a one game suspension for tripping an opposing player.

2. Ohio St. quarterback J.T. Barrett announces he will return for his senior season.

3. Jimmy Butler scores 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 116-94 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

4. The Oakland Raiders will start rookie Connor Cook at quarterback Saturday at Houston in the AFC wild-card game. Cook replaced the injured Matt McGloin last week against Denver.

5. Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinateri could have earned a $500,000 bonus by making 90 percent of his field goal attempts. He finished at 87.1.

6. LA Galaxy forward Mike Magee announces his retirement after a 14-year career in MLS.

7. Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Jung Ho Kang is cut from South Korea’s national team after his third DUI arrest.

8. Guard Darius Brown, II is averaging 18 points per game for Pasadena.

9. On this day in 1957 the Dodgers’ Jackie Robinson announces his retirement rather than be traded to the New York Giants.
