1. Former USC quarterback Matt Leinart is named to the College Football Hall of Fame. The class also includes former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning and San Diego State running back Marshall Faulk.

2. Green Bay Packer receiver Jordy Nelson, who was knocked out of the playoff game Sunday against the New York Giants with a rib injury, may play in Sunday’s playoff game against Dallas if he can practice Saturday.

3. Colorado HC Mike MacIntyre receives a contract extension through the 2021 season.

4. Bill Musgrave is out as OC of the Raiders despite Oakland finishing the season with the number 6 -ranked total offense.

5. Former Dodger/Boston Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez has agreed to terms with the Kochi Fighting Dogs of Japan’s independent Shikoku Island League.

6. Former Los Angeles Ram DC Gregg Williams joins the Cleveland Browns staff as defensive coordinator.

7. Temple City’s Tyler Api is averaging 22.5 points per game for Temple City.

8. Blair is 12-3 heading into tonight’s game at La Canada.

9. Blair junior forward Dezmond Washington is averaging 23.5 points per game.

10. On this date in 1977 the Dodgers acquire Rick Monday and reliever Mike Garman from the Chicago Cubs for Bill Buckner, shortstop Ivan de Jesus and minor league pitcher Jeff Albert.

    The Rams screwed up letting DC Greg Williams, go.he is a great DC and with almost no talent the Rams were good on defense it was their OC who su$^(D.
