5.) Former Arcadia quarterback Travis Gowan turns 29 today.

6.) Former San Diego Padres starter, Tyson Ross signs 1-year deal with the Texas Rangers.

7.) ESPN drops commentator Doug Adler after he compared Venus Williams to a “gorilla” at the Australian Open — although he insists the word he used was “guerrilla”.

8.) Next year the MLB Hall of Fame ballot will include: Chipper Jones, Jim Thome, and Omar Vizquel

    I concur with Superman. A very accurate ranking of all time NFL quarterbacks. However, I’d place Elway ahead of Favre and Rogers will ultimately move up.

    Never have cared much for Montana and Brady, as they are clinicians/managers of offenses, whereas guys like Marino, Elway and Fouts were swashbucklers who could be counted on to make unscripted moves to spearhead drives. Put another way, the latter three were simply more exciting and entertaining.
