1. The St. Louis Cardinals are fined $2 million by MLB for punishment for former scouting director Chris Correa hacking into the data bases of the Houston Astros.
2. The Angels agree to a minor league contract with right-hander Bud Norris. Norris spent the second half of last season with the Dodgers.
3. A 30 second Super Bowl ad now cost $5 million (up 110 percent since 2007).
4. Former Monrovia/Alhambra Assistant Coach Jacob Ochoa is now back at Glendale Community College for a second stint as an assistant.
5. The LA Galaxy’s first preseason game of 2017 is a friendly next Tuesday night against Club Tijuana at StubHub Center at 8:00 p.m.
6. Gabrielino (8-1) and Mt. View (7-1) are first place and second place in the Mission Valley League. They meet Wednesday February 8 at Gabrielino.
7. The Raiders move to Las Vegas was dealt another blow Tuesday when investment bank Goldman Sachs withdrew its financial support for the project.
8. Former NBA player Stephen Jackson said he smoked marijuana before games.
9. On this date in 1968 Vince Lombardi resigned as head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
10. Broadcaster Brent Musburger announced the last game of his career Tuesday night calling Georgia at Kentucky for ESPN.

Not really sure what your comment has to do with my post, but I’m guessing you must be a Celtics fan like Mushmouth was. He couldn’t keep his east coast bias out of games he called. Joe Buck is just BAD! As far as grandmas go, I wish I still had one and I’ve got my own money and the comment about dogs was just stupid. Makes me wonder who does your spell checking.

#10 Good riddance Brent Mushmouth. The only ones sad to see you go are the Celtics, cause you were their boy. Any chance you can talk Joe Buck into retiring also?
Anything on La Mirada? Los Altos? Buena Park? West Covina? SAN Gabriel? Claremont? Diamond Bar?
Several of these coaches resigned or were let go quite a while ago. Are we in the day and age where hiring a football coach takes months? Walnut is the only school that got on the ball right away.
From T. Peterson: I’ve been in contact with all of those schools. Nothing yet. Although I’m hearing La Mirada is close.
Sad to hear of Musburger’s last time at bat; it makes me wonder how I’ll take it when Peterson types his last words on this site.
