4. Police in Kinston, NC said there was no sign of foul play in the death of former North Carolina St./NBA player Charles Shackleford. Shackleford, 50, was found dead at his home last Friday morning.
5. As of Wednesday New England was a three point favorite over Atlanta in the Super Bowl with an over/under of 58 1/2.

Another Sports coach fired at Arroyo for inappropriate conduct with a student. This time it’s a wrestling coach. That makes 3 coaches in under 2 years!!!! you mix these three violations in with the other transgressions in football and girls basketball and I ask… what the hell is going on at Arroyo!!!
Pasadena Bulldogs are 11-0 after defeating Burbank last night, clinching at least a share of their 13th Pacific league title in a row. Pasadena had a similar 11 consecutive league title in the 70’s through early 80’s. The longest in CIF is Mater Dei that held it 21 years some years ago.
