  1. Former Valley Christian standout Kari Korver went 7-for-10 from three-point range in UCLA Women’s 75-43 win over Texas A&M. Face UCONN on Saturday at 10:30am.
  2. Puerto Rico defeats Netherlands 4-3 in 11-innings to advance to the WBC Championship. Will face the winner of Japan/USA matchup tonight.
  3. Los Angeles Clippers defeat NY Knicks 114-105 last night and are one game from fourth place in Western Conference. Los Angeles Lakers are currently riding a five game losing streak.
  4. Alhambra’s Natalie Joyce currently batting .556 for Lady Moors softball.
  5. Kings are now six points out of a playoff spot with 10 games remaining in the season.
  6. Dubai World Cup takes place Saturday morning starting at 4:45 a.m. first post. The $10 million Dubai World Cup featuring Arrogate and Gun Runner will take place at 9:45 a.m.
  7. Raiders hosted former Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon on Monday.
  8. During Military Fan Appreciation night at the Dallas Stars game, a military service dog repelled from the rafters. The dog was then presented to veteran Cary Flatt, who suffers from severe anxiety after a gunshot wound to the head.
  9. In 1934 Babe Didrikson pitched an inning in an A’s-Dodgers exhibition game. She walked one 1, hit the next batter and the third batter hit into triple-play

    Ha! That’s nothing. I know two other coaches that have resigned and that Los Altos has hired a huge name but promised all 3 to hold off until given the all clear

    From T. Peterson: This is actually old news. I heard about it originally back in January but it wasn’t official and I was told to wait on it. Today I was given the green light.

    Paramo from Rosemead has resigned. Wow who is next. All these good coaches have decided not to coach. Being an asst. sounds so much easier.

    A second service dog needs to be given to Lavar Ball, not for comfort and guidance, but to bark loudly whenever the obnoxious father starts talking, preventing the words from being understood.
