1. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has 37 triple-doubles so far this year.

2. UCLA freshman guard Lonzo Ball is one of five finalists for the John R. Wooden award as college basketball’s player of the year. The winner will be announced April 7.

3. Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested in Dallas after he was in a vehicle that hit seven people on a sidewalk. The former TCU QB faces charges of public intoxication and possession of marijuana.

4. NFL owners banned leaping over the line of scrimmage to block kicks Tuesday at their annual meetings.

5. LA Galaxy/USMNT midfielder Sebastian Lletget will have foot surgery and is expected to miss 4-6 months. Lletget was injured in the USMNT’s 6-0 win over Honduras last Friday.

6. Dodger left-hander Julio Urias will begin the season at extended spring training in Arizona.

7. Former Dayton coach Archie Miller was introduced Monday as the new head coach at Indiana.

8. Bonita sophomore infielder Nick Mistone is hitting .447 in his first 11 games.

9. On this date in 1994 Jimmy Johnson resigned as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
