Sometimes the coach is at another school teaching and hasn’t gave his notice he’s leaving or was even looking. Sometimes that could cost the coach their current job.

Good for you Kam… don’t look in the rear view mirror, your best lies ahead. Forget that school that screwed you over… overcome and be great.

I really dont think anyone would complain about information being released a half or even full day early. Its not like the hiring is supposed to be a surprise and its not like the district meetings have a discussion about the coaches being hired. it is automatically approved and nobody in the district checks anything. Simple case in point with the El Monte Coach that didnt want the job getting district approved. Do you think anyone at the meeting discussed his approval…
From T. Peterson: You’d be surprised.

Is board approval why it takes so long to get somebody to clean the toilets at Rosemead?

In almost every other aspect of sports reporting the writers want to get out the information 1st and leak it before it comes out. On here for some reason its the opposite where the reporters wont tell anybody any new information until its been released.
From T. Peterson: If you’re talking about high school coaching hires a lot of times we’re asked specifically by the coach, AD, a source, etc. to hold until it’s board approved or until the kids have been told. We’ll still get the story first most of the time but we honor that request. In fact in earning that trust I’ve been able to get a lot of scoops and stories that I wouldn’t have gotten if I just wrote something anyway after I was asked to wait. Believe me it helps in the long run.
