South put two more on the board in the fifth when Chasity Martinez hit a double just missing a homerun, but next batter Danielle Ruiz didn’t miss as she hit a towering two-run homerun to give the Lady Eagles a 5-0 lead.
Castruita continued her dominance with a one, two, three top of the sixth inning. In the bottom of the sixth South had three straight singles that put Jayda Reyes up who hit a deep shot good enough for a RBI sacrifice fly. Martinez and Alyssa Acosta came up with RBI singles that and gave Livah Rangal a chance to close the game out with a hit.
Rangal took an outside pitch to right field scoring two runs and stopping the game at 10-0. Carrasco went 3 for 3 with two runs and an RBI for the Lady Eagles. Heritage had an opportunity in the first inning to put runs on the board with two on and one out but Castruita shut them down.
