Fair enough. I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
The comments on Aram’s blog suggest that Upland backed off on offense because they knew time was up. but, apparently the rule is if you had the ball last and a score could tie or win, you finish the drive regardless of time. Or something similar.
Stupidest passing tourney rules I ever heard of.
My boys attended whittier high, but in 2014 that league went through the ranch and it wasnt close. LS is simply not as deep and talented this season and might not be for another 2 years. There’s no Frankie Palmer, Anthony Garcia or Matt Marshall waiting in the wings. Don’t be stunned to see them fignt for 3rd place, you heard it here first.
@Barry and ERdad,
La Serna deserves the respect from everyone in your league. They haven’t lost a league game in the last 2 years and have only lost 2 league games this decade. CIF recognizes it by putting them in D-3. Sure they lost in the 2nd round but it was in a much tougher division than past years. No matter how fast and athletic Santa Fe is, no matter how tough and well coached El Rancho is, and no matter how big and strong Cal Hi is, the league still goes through La Serna. The past 8 years proves that.
La Serna losing in the 2nd Round is a drop from where they had been the previous 5 or 6 years FbFan.
@fbfan last year was one of the better teams they’ve had in a long time, they dominated freshmen year till last year and anyone who followed DRL football saw it coming. This upcoming senior class hasn’t had half the success as the previous class.
@Barry, people said the same thing last year.
big la Serna drop, you’ll see.
How did the local teams do? Arroyo, La Serna, and Bonita?
From T. Peterson: Arroyo looked good. La Serna and Bonita ok.
Tolegian reporting that the tournament ended in controversy
Would be interesting to know who was there from Sierra Canyon. I’ve heard from a couple people that their D coordinator hates Ellinghouse and was looking to leave.
Who gives a delete about the pictures. If you were there who did well?
Charter Oak and Upland looked good. CO beat Upland in the Finals. Arroyo and Sierra Canyon were solid as well.
Aren’t 3 of these pictures of Garfield? The Navy Blue shirts with the big G on front?
How did some of the other teams do? Any teams over achieve or under achieve.
Glad the MVS doesn’t have any pics of LA Garfield. They are poo poo
No pictures of LA Garfield come on mvs
