1. Paris is reportedly close to being named the host for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games and Los Angeles landing the bid for 2028.

2. The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Nashville Predators 4-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals.

3. The Cleveland Browns sign linebacker Christian Kirksey to a four-year, $38 million extension.

4. Cal Lutheran wins the NCAA Division III baseball championship by taking two of three games from Washington & Jefferson.

5. Chicago White Sox announcer Ken “Hawk” Harrelson will retire after working 20 games next year – his 34th season in the booth.

6. Jeb Bush, former presidential candidate and Florida governor, has ended his pursuit as a buyer for the Miami Marlins. Derek Jeter, part of Bush’s group, is still exploring a bid.

7. This past weekend Azusa High School had its baseball equipment room and softball bin broken into and all of its gear stolen. More details to follow.

8. The Bonita Air Assault is June 23rd and 24th. Pools to be posted soon.

9. On this day in 1975 California Angels pitcher Nolan Ryan throws his fourth no-hitter – a 1-0 shutout over the Baltimore Orioles.

10. “It helps if the hitter thinks you’re a little crazy.”- Nolan Ryan.

    Any info on when next years playoff divisions will be released or do we have to wait for board approval?
    From T. Peterson: Those won’t be released until August…pending board approval.
