(Azusa) – Thieves stole baseball and softball equipment from Azusa High School over the weekend and the school has set up a gofund me account for donations to help diminish some of the replacement costs.
“We discovered Monday evening that our baseball locker room and softball bin as well as our band bin were broken into. All of our gear and equipment were stolen,” said JV Head Baseball Coach Steve Simonian. “All of the baseball and softball bats, all of our catchers gear, both pitching machines, 10 cases of brand new baseballs and 7 cases of brand new softballs, a lot of kids/players personal belongings and even the softball ATC they use to drag the fields with.”
Azusa was featured Wednesday on ABC 7 and FOX 11. A gofund me has been set up at https://www.gofundme.com/azusa-high-baseballsoftball-fund
Anyone wishing to help or donate may do so through the gofundme or contact

Can you say inside job?
the car or truck to carry had to be driven inside and lock at gate?
The time to do it? they had to know when no one is in site
The job was done by someone familiar with operations .
They can’t sell that stuff in a bunch, and in pieces at a yard sale? not a smart crackhead, unless it is an angry person with the program, any way it sucks and he shout be given 20 years in jail if found
It doesn’t make sense that virtually everything was carted away, if the thieves intended to fence the stuff for some quick dough. This sounds more like a very angry insider who intended to hurt the program as much as possible. Either way, this crime is on the moral level of child molestation, that is to say it is beyond deplorable.
