5. Roger Federer wins a record eighth Wimbledon men’s championship defeating Marin Cilic in straight sets.

6. The Angels release second baseman Danny Espinosa who was batting .162 this year.

7. Dodger announcer Charley Steiner turns 68 today.

8. On this date in 1979 Dave Parker of the Pittsburgh Pirates is named MVP of the 50th All-Star game as the NL beats the AL 7-6.

10. Aaron Jamieson is listed as the head coach at Pomona on the website MaxPreps. Jamieson, who was dismissed during the 2014 season, was replaced by the current HC Keith Richardson.

    Yeah they have three year starter qb in mr nguyen, but small and injury prone, don’t know much but sophomore rb dallas has to improve in order for sg to compete and well Lets hope the offense throws the ball and lets receivers shine , sg has one of the best receivers in the league in Mathew Flores , let’s hope they are able to utilize him and his confident attitude , another huge issue will be Oline and defense , anybody know what offense they are gonna run and what D ?
