5. Newly acquired Dodgers pitcher Yu Darvish has an ERA of 5.81 with a record of 0-5 in his last eight starts for the Texas Rangers.

6. Tampa Bay’s Evan Longoria hits for the cycle in the Rays 6-4 win over the Houston Astros.

7. The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Sonny Gray from the Oakland A’s.

    The Conquerors get to practice in the cool of the night, so this midnight workout isn’t as nutty as it appears. For a deeper chill, Spathias should move the sessions to the beach, allowing the second-stringers to surf while the starters get their reps.
