Average Daily Attendance, the primary way in which public schools receive money from the state. And, yes, that’s a lot of money.

Smart schools use teacher adjunct duty to cover most of that stuff…they may to pay security. But let’s say a team sells NO tickets, the school still makes a pretty penny. Most of those kids only go to school for football, so we’re going to use a small program to get an idea of what kind of money football brings to the school.
60 kids (small program) at $44 dollars a day (ADA, football is why these kids attend) x 180 school days per year…
$475,200 per year…I think they can do something about it!

If you think schools profit from football you have no idea what you’re talking about. The great majority of schools lose money after they pay for security, ticket people, etc. if a school actually clears 4-6K for a season that’s a good year. Many lose money year after year the school covers that so kids can keep playing. This isn’t the PAC 12 here.

They let Heggins go. THat was as good as it is/was going to get. Big screw up. Guy cared. They wouldn’t hire any assistants for him on campus. They really don’t care and expect guys to coach for nothing. All Heggins needed was a guy on campus to help him.

Hopefully the administration is finally waking up and realizing that they have been letting all athletic programs down at Baldwin Park down. They hired a great person to turn the baseball program around this year. Aaron Magdaleno is the new head coach for baseball this year. That’s right the brother of the great Baldwin Park legend Ricky Magdaleno!!!
They need to do something like that with the football program too.

Fuller wasn’t anything special. Program better off now.
From T. Peterson: The program is better off with five coaches in six years? No, not at all.

It’s getting harder and harder to make ends meet in Socal no matter what Trump says. The high stock market has yet to reach the family man. Disneyland is paying 1000 dollar bonuses to workers but are raising parking, hotel and entrance prices to compensate. So who is really winning? Point being good young coaches can no longer work for free to coach football. Especially since schools profit from football. One fair remedy might be tying his salary to the gate. Something, anything to compensate these guys. That Costner movie “For Love of the Game” is bs, as he was raking in millions as a pro. Football coaches at public schools, HC’s and assistants are the ones that do it for love of the game.

@SH, trust me I’m not complaining, I even sent my own kids there to SH. Just as an Alum who played there in the late 80’s and early 90’s when we were dominant, it’s sad to see the falloff

Sad that BP “my alma Mater” can’t keep a head coach and the good ones they had they let go. Plus administration and district not hiring the qualified alumni that have applied for the job. So much talent in the area and because of the no connection hires those kids all go elsewhere to play.
