@Gordon Geeko. College Basketball will survive the G-League, those who want to play College Basketball and receive a College Education will do. Those who don’t want to try their luck will participate in the G-League. There is plenty of talented players to go around.
College basketball is about to take real hit – NBA to take over with the G-Legaue. Basically, the minor league system has arrived in basketball. But, who really cares the quality of today’s NBA is poor with the exception of a few players. The ’80s to mid ’90s quality of pro bball is long gone. Coaches have zero say and the NBA players are for the most part a bunch of babies. They all want to be loved. What happened to the rivalaries? Every player in the NBA should be giving a royalty check to Magic Bird and MJ – That’s where David Stern used common sense and used beautiful marketing to attract an audience. Stern should get his own Bulls rings for two championships – league expansion – water down the league.
Steve Alford must go!
Burroughs finally named a head coach
UCLA and USC are obviously over-rated. The Bruins are gone early in the big dance, and crybaby Enfield’s miserable showing (albeit in a victory) against a no-name program prove that there is a lot of work to be done before either basketball team can be called good.
