Temple City Shuts Out San Marino

Temple City pitcher Nate Lee threw a complete game shut out.

(Temple City) – Nate Lee threw a complete game to lead Temple City to a 5-0 shut out of San Marino Tuesday in Rio Hondo League action at Temple City High. Lee also doubled to center and scored on an error on a sacrifice bunt by Erik Lewis in the third inning to get the Rams started. The one run turned out to be all the Rams needed.

Lee allowed just four hits and walked one while striking out three.

Zach Balbin worked six innings for the Titans and allowed four hits and all five runs. He fanned three in the process.

Temple City added four more runs in the fifth inning keyed by a two run base-hit by Seth Zermano. Lewis also drove in a run.

Temple City improved to 6-5-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Rio Hondo with the victory. San Marino fell to 4-6-1 and 1-1 in league.

Next up for the Rams is a home game with La Canada on Friday. San Marino travels to La Canada on Wednesday.
