    @The Fed,

    Terrible analogy. Hundreds of mail carriers suffer from heat illness every summer.

    Mailmen and mail women are working. Carrying 30 pound sacks and walking fast for 6 hours or more. Teens should be able to run a few plays in shorts and T,s with mamas giving them water, shade and cold packs.

    If just one kid keels over with a heat related crisis the entire sgv football season would be put in jeopardy.

    I agree with bottom line. Has nothing to do with being soft or tough. Go stand outside right now for 1 hour straight and tell me how you feel afterward. And that’s without running routes or back pedaling for hours.

    Does Singiser have a degree in radiologic science? I do, and I’m telling you that the conditions expected on Saturday in El Monte are unsafe for kids to be out doing sports, no matter how bullet-proof anyone thinks they are.

    #9. I hope people stay safe out there. Personally i don’t think it’s a good idea to even have a tournament in that heat. I know precautions will be taken but If it were during the school year, AD’s probably wouldn’t let their teams practice in that heat or would force coaches to make major modifications.
