1. Francesco Molinari won the British Open Sunday finishing with an 8-under 276. Tiger Woods finished tied for sixth at 5 under.

2. With a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union Saturday the LA Galaxy won its third straight game and moved into fourth place in the MLS Western Conference.

3. The Dodgers took two out of three from the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend and remain in first place in the NL West 1.5 games ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

4. New York Mets minor leaguer Tim Tebow has a broken bone in his right hand and could be out the season.

5. Minnesota Vikings OL coach and former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Tony Sparano, 56, passed away Sunday of heart disease.

6. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats traded Johnny Manziel to the Montreal Alouettes. Manziel didn’t play a down for the Tiger-Cats in a five-game span.

7. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte has been suspended from competition for one year for use of an IV.
