Strategy Coach hasn’t worked all season its a lost of lineman getting to the ball EM line is much stronger then last year look at film they are moving people up front even if they cut they are still being moving its like others have said its a train coming at you !

Hold up football experts. Cutting and crawling D-Linemen is a tactic that is often employed by defenses facing a run heavy offense especially the double wing. The purpose of it is to create a pile at the point of attack/line of scrimmage so that the o line would have a difficult time climbing up to the second level which would free up the linebackers to make a play. However, this becomes increasingly difficult against pulling linemen because they’re first step will be back and the D-Linemen would not be able to cut them and they would have a free release as they pull and lead up on linebackers and overhang players. Just like all schemes on offense, defense, and special teams, it has its strengths and its weaknesses.
I think the DL for Arroyo Falling and crawling on the ground raised the white flag right from the start. Usually Arroyo is the biggest deepest team in league so to see them diving and crawling in apparent surrender mode was very surprising, funny but surprising. I’m gonna play keyboard coach for a second, Vs DW you need to be strong at the point of attack but even as important is to take away all cut back lanes. For example if I’m the opposite DT, Play goes away from me I have to beat my block then angle toward the runner taking away the inside lane, this not only compresses the field but it also gives your safety the ability to play outside allowing him to play “downhill” thus making him more effective. by playing dead and diving on the ground you lose any hope of stopping the cut back and now putting your safety on island. On Friday and early Saturday in what was The first half of EM vs Arroyo it was the athletic backs putting a move on the guessing safeties and getting big yardage. In the Second half Arroyo did a better a job of defending it but the first half was very wrong strategically . Brings me back to our game SEM vs Arroyo, had we had a more experienced or just a better Play caller he would’ve seen those weaknesses and attacked them. We could’ve easily won by a couple scores. I hope Frank ironed out those issues with his OC and is ready. Historically Rosemead always plays us tough so this will be a perfect set up game for the Griffin Bowl showdown! Dont doubt the South!

Good job by El Monte. Not taking anything away from El Monte because they flat out executed! But what was Arroyo’s Defense doing? I see the El Monte Jets put up better Defensive Schemes than that! I can’t believe South could’t adjust to a pitiful Defense. I get they are young but at least put them in position to do better and not just roll over and play dead!
Are you still here? I thought after your showing against Powerhouse Warren, you were rocketing up the ranks to the Trinity league. Those Catholic school boys like cupcakes too, so they’ll make you feel at home.

Did I see the defensive lineman drive on the floor and start crawling for Arroyo? What defensive lineman technique is that? The Arroyo defensive coordinator should be fired. That is a flat out joke. I just lost all respect for Arroyo’s coaching staff. The Arroyo coaching staff is overrated, just watch the highlight film.
