  4. Joe Frazier beat Oscar Bonavena in 15 rounds to win the heavyweight boxing title on this day in 1968.
  5. After a 3-10 start, the Raiders fire general manager Reggie McKenzie.
  6. Former Rams’ linebacker Isaiah Robertson died in a car accident last Thursday night on his way home from giving a speech at the Grand Prairie High School football banquet.
  7. Sierra Canyon will take on Liberty High School Saturday night at Cerritos College in the CIF Division 1-A football final.
  8. Oh this day in 1992 the NHL awards franchises to Miami and Anaheim.

    Dale, This is a no brainer! Decline the job at Covina and take the Cal job. You no longer have to worry about driving over the hill.

    Cal Hi coach Trudell is our. Will be interesting if Dale Ziola who lives across the street from the school applies and bails out of Covina. Will be interesting to see who applies since it’s one of the highest paying jobs out there.
