1. The Dodgers lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 11-7 Thursday to get swept in the four game series.

2. The Sacramento Kings fired head coach Dave Joerger after the team’s best season since 2005 – ’06.

3. The Memphis Grizzles fired head coach J.B. Bickerstaff.

4. La Canada beat Temple City 14-2 Wednesday to improve to 7-1 in the Rio Hondo League and take a full two game lead over the second place Rams and San Marino.

5. La Canada’s Connor Buchanan leads the Rio Hondo League with an ERA of 0.40 and has struck out 27 batters in 17 and two-thirds innings.

6. Santa Fe’s Saul Ruiz leads the Del Rio League in hitting with a batting average of .500 (29 for 58). The Chiefs lead the Del Rio with a record of 7-2.

7. The Clippers finished as the number 8 seed in the Western Conference and will face the number 1 seed Golden State Warriors in a best of seven series beginning Saturday in Oakland.

8. The Milwaukee Bucks are number 1 in the East and will face the Detroit Pistons.

9. Former UCLA coach Steve Alford has been named the new head coach at Nevada.

10. Former Dodger catcher Paul Lo Duca turns 47 today.

    I understand the Kings want to hire Luke Walton when the Lakers cut him loose. Hopefully, they’ll take Pelinka off our hands at the same time.
