By Tim Peterson

(Los Angeles) – On Saturday July 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Cathedral Alumni Association will be honoring former Head Coach Kevin Pearson for his 22 years of service.

Pearson compiled the most wins as a head coach in Cathedral high school history. Many former players and alumni will be in attendance.

Pearson, who stepped down at Cathedral after the 2017 season, accepted the head coach position at Warren earlier this year.

A high school coach is a thankless job. The ones you are closest to are often the ones that hate you. The parents and family members of the kids you are trying to help. I suspect like on this thread there were as many people there to boo this guy than honor him. The most under paid and under appreciated position in the world.

We were lucky to have a Great Coach at Cathedral for so long. Coach Pearson sent a lot of Players to Big time College Football. He leaves with three former players in The NFL playing right now , and All Time Win’s in Cathedral History.
